CatchWindow brings tides, currents, wind, weather, waves and solunar timing for a place onto one page. It is operated by 1355057 BC Ltd., doing business as Takeout Near You, a British Columbia company.
Data sources
Tide and current predictions and buoy observations come from NOAA and the Canadian Hydrographic Service, with WorldTides for other stations. River levels come from the USGS. Weather, wind and marine forecasts come from Open-Meteo, and sea surface data from NOAA CoastWatch. Mapped places, boat ramps, campsites and fuel docks come from OpenStreetMap contributors, with place names from GeoNames. CatchWindow is not a navigation product.
How the site is paid for
CatchWindow is free to use and supported by Google AdSense advertising and by links to related services, some of which pay a referral fee.
